US Airborne Army, Huge... For Sale

Postby Weekend General » Sun Sep 06, 2015 8:49 am

Hey folks. I've got just over 2000 points of Warlord's metal US Airborne, Roughly 90 infantry (on Gale Force 9 magnetic bases) and two artillery pieces, almost all bare metal. Totalled up new from Warlord would run just under $400. I've also got enough orders dice (square corners) for the whole group I'll throw in for free.

Looking for $275 for the lot. $550 textbooks are kicking my @ss, so have to sell off surplus armies. If you're interested please let me know.

Thanks.

Barter Town? I've never heard of this thing ('cept for a locale in the old Earthdawn setting) you speak of. I'm going to email you....

I'm considering this lot. I've got a pretty big set of airborne already thought. Any idea what the artillery is? Would you be interesting selling off just portions of it?

Brent, the artillery pieces are a 75mm pack howitzer and a 57mm anti tank gun.

My preference would be to sell the lot. Usually the things that get sold piecemeal are the parts that make the whole thing attractive, and selling them off leaves a pile of "meh" bits. Sorry, mate. Lesson learned from 10 years of eBay.

The whole lot is as follows, points for all Veteran add up to around 2000 points:

Platoon 1:

1st Lieutenant and friend
Medic
Air Observer
Captain with friend
3 x 12 man rifle squad, SMG & LMG
Light Mortar team (2 man Airborne version)
Bazooka team
75mm Pack Howitzer (light artillery)

Platoon 2:
1st Lieutenant and friend
Medic
Air Observer
2 x 12 man rifle squad, SMG & LMG
1 x 10 man rifle squad, LMG
MMG team
Light Mortar team (2 man Airborne version)
Bazooka team
57mm anti tank gun

**** all of the above unprimed, unpainted; mounted on Gale Force 9 magnetic bases. ****

Also included:

1/72 scale P 47 Thunderbolt with wing mounted rocket tubes and bombs; assembled but not primed or painted, no base or stand.

5 x fellas with SMGs in various stages of painting (not my painting)
3 x painted riflemen (not my painting)
1 x partially painted riflemen
1 x office with pistol and rifle with broken barrel
1 x rifleman with broken barrel
1 x LMG team
1 x Mortar crewman
2 x Bazooka (not teams, two singles with bazooka each)
2 x jeep gunners (no jeep, no guns)
A handful of spare bases

Total cost, new, about $400.

Understood! Let me cross check what I already have and what I might be missing and see if I'd be willing to take the whole lot.

Thanks!

Awesome! I usually use eBay, but wanted to give someone here a crack first. I'd rather sell at a lower price to someone I know and might get a game with.

Hey WG - I looked and there probably isn't enough stuff I'm missing to justify me buying the whole lot. I've got enough to field a sizeable platoon between the Warlord and Offensive Minis models. What I was interested in mostly was the artillery pieces and some extra mortars and LMG teams. However, I can understand not wanting to split all this up. Thanks for waiting on me to check my stash.
