I MAY pick up the book myself to see if I can run a couple "Special" scenarios with some specific forces with some specific paint jobs... The first one I would need to get all the tanks for. 4 Matilda IIs, 1 Churchill VII, 1 Panzer IV D, 1 Stug III F/8, 1 Panzer 38(t), 1 M3 Lee, and a Brigade Games Japanese Type 89 tank.
Alright so I'm a bit late jumping on this thread but I'll throw in my two cents anyway.
I agree with Jeremy that it changes the dynamic of an infantry based game by substituting armor. What I'm curious to see is how it'd work in addition to.... Say, a thousand points of infantry and another thousand of armor. Sure it's a big game, big table. It'd be interesting though.
I snatched up the "Armored Fury" box because it's basically giving you the Tank War book and A5 rulebook. Great value.
actually 3 USA M3 Lee tanks.... I really really like how those tanks look. And it could be fun trying to make them work in the game since they were so bad historically.
and while it does not line up with my current armies.... ADD may have kicked in, and who wants to have an army of Italian paper tanks.... These M3 lees could see the table as a ringer force at Adepticon depending on the field and who an opponent could be each round.
Ooooohhhhh. That sounds fun. Again, too... if there's anything I can do to help let me know.
The Lee is a "classic" looking tank to me. I like them, and if I ever get around to an early war British army I'd consider them. Hopefully you'll post pics? I'd love to see what you do with them.
I finally just ordered my Tank Wars book (should be here today).... I have plenty of 15mm FOW Tanks that I may try and use for Tank Wars (too see how I like the rules).
