At a super high level:

We are considering a two player event where both players play individual games (2 tables) with combined scores but are looking to build some other levels of interaction, perhaps a list pairing mechanic. Further details are still under full imperial lock down. More detail as they become available.

Do you expect rules to be posted prior to registration opening or are you planning on having sign up blind?

Couple general things:

In past years we have never made the cart public this far in advance of registration. This was made possible by some additional cart enhancements that Matt has been making. Instead we had a pdf schedule. So having the webcart veiwable at this stage is something "new" and was done to provide attendees an opportunity to browse the webcart, have access to more event details and put together a tenative schedule prior to the webcart going live. However, be advised that the current webcart is subject to change and has been changing.

Additional documentation and rules have always come at a later date and final rules have been typically after the first of the year as we reserve the right to modify rules in the interest of running the best possible event. So in some ways you are signing up “blind” : )

The 40k event schedule for Friday is still being discussed and might see some changes yet. Specially, with regard to Warhammer 40K: Two-front Doubles and any new events. I would expect we will provide additional details with regard to format prior to the registration live process.

Thanks, I know rules always change. I just trying to figure out which event to sign up for on Friday (Doubles or Warzone) and it would be nice to have some idea of what the doubles event will be like (e.g. do I need to find someone to partner with that is playing the same race or not, etc.). I will continue to track the website looking for updates. Thanks again for the quick response.

So, if registering for this event, does one person register for the two person team, much like the 4 person team tourney? Are they playing as an actual team or as two players combining scores? How many point lists are needed?

With as fast as events fill up, some details to help people pick events to play would be helpful. I understand how difficult it must be to put together a schedule for such a huge event and you have been doing an amazing job for like a dozen years now, but how can we register for an event knowing nothing about it other than it is 40k.

It will be like every other team event we're just the team captain needs to register. The event fee will cover both players. A description of the event should be up later this afternoon, with a draft rules set shortly thereafter.
