We are officially well into planning season. Preregistration looms and it is time to begin burying you with information:

Preregistration and Hotel News
AdeptiCon returns on Thursday, April 18, 2013 for our annual celebration of the miniature wargaming hobby! Once more, the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center will host the festivities and the entire hotel will be devoted to the AdeptiCon experience! For the first time ever, AdeptiCon will feature a full slate of events on Thursday, giving you FOUR full days to experience all that AdeptiCon has to offer.

A full schedule will be posted shortly before the web cart goes live on Monday, November 12th. Last year, our most popular events sold out within days, so act quickly to reserve your spot in the events of your choice!

The Westin is Approaching Critical Mass! Based solely off our announcement this past summer, reservations at the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center have already filled 75% of our block for 2013. Don’t delay – make your hotel reservations today! The Westin Lombard Yorktown Center is taking reservations at our convention rate of $121/night.

AdeptiCon Warhammer Fantasy Team Tournament
The AdeptiCon Warhammer Fantasy Team Tournament has set the standard for 2-person team play in the Fantasy realm. To give these partnerships more chances to shine, the AdeptiCon Warhammer Fantasy Team Tournament will shift to a full-day, 3-round format on Friday, April 19th! If you haven’t already, its time to start coming up with your team’s theme, because the competition will be fierce on all fronts!

Warhammer Fantasy Championships
Every year, the best Warhammer Fantasy players from across the country and the world come to AdeptiCon to test their mettle. This year, the AdeptiCon Warhammer Fantasy Championships will shift to a 2-day/5-game format with three games on Saturday, April 20th, two games on Sunday, April 21st. With the expanded format, expect the competition, generalship and artistry to reach new heights! This will definitely be the ‘can’t miss’ event for Warhammer Fantasy players in 2013!

Warhammer 40K Team Tournament
By popular demand, the AdeptiCon Warhammer 40K Team Tournament will now span two days of allied carnage! The event will now feature a full 5 rounds (3 on Saturday, April 20th and 2 on Sunday, April 21st), 128 teams and a more relaxed the schedule. The Warhammer 40K Team Tournament has continually raised the bar in terms of army design, theme, and presentation – yet this is often lost in the fast and hectic pace of the weekend. In order to make sure everyone can enjoy what the best of the hobby has to offer, the top contenders for Best Team Appearance and Best Team Theme/Presentation will be placed on display in the main Warhammer 40K hall for everyone to enjoy!

Warhammer 40K Championships
The AdeptiCon weekend kicks off with the AdeptiCon Warhammer 40K Championships Qualifier on Thursday, April 18th – a 4-round, self-contained event with a full slate of awards and prizes. The top 16 players will move on to the finals on Friday and play four additional rounds to determine the AdeptiCon Warmaster! No more 5AM games on Sunday! No longer will you have to wait until the AdeptiCon weekend is over to discover who has emerged as the winner! What if you do not qualify? Don’t panic, there will be plenty of other Friday events that you can participate in, including the Warhammer 40K Gladiator, Warhammer 40K Friendly, and many others.

When we will find out what the point limits are for the Fantasy events?

Thursday - It's How You Use It (2 sessions) 1000 points
Friday - Team Tournament 1200 per player / 2400 per team
Saturday/Sunday - Championships 2400 points

Hello! I was just trying to pry for info about the team tournament usable units. Specifically from the Heresy Book :Betrayal from forge world. will that info be out on registration day? because were dying to buy the models haha .

The Horus Heresy lists will not be allowed in the Team Tournament. While we have allowed units from IA books in the past, we have never allow army lists. Horus Heresy lists are also designed to be played using a specific variant of the 40K rules.

That said, there will be a specific Horus Heresy event Friday at AdeptiCon 2013 and you can always use Forge World models to represent units from a codex as long as the model conforms to the model policy.
