Here is the teaser/information for the Friday night Dark Ages Big game as it will appear in the Adepticon shopping cart when it comes online:

Hastings Redux, 1066 AD – Dark Ages WAB mega game.
Rules: WAB 2.0 | AoA2
Players: up to 12

Through the deft use of spies and courtly intrigue, the English have managed to wicker out the deceitful plans of conquest of both the Normans and the Vikings before they conduct their landings. Unable to prevent the landings, King Harold frantically calls ups his nobles and cajoles his allies from all over the isles to protect Mother England from the foreign invaders. Meanwhile, Duke William and King Harald form an alliance of necessity and lead the Normans and Vikings to claim the English throne.

Hastings Redux is a pitched battle matching forces from team England and team Conqueror fought over 4’ X 16’ of modular terrain especially designed for this game. Players will join a team & work with their team captain to write appropriate army lists and rosters prior to the battle. Each player will need to supply a minimum of 1400 points of painted 25/28mm figures and be familiar with the WAB 2 rules. All Armies will be selected from Armies of Antiquity 2.

Team England Army lists:
Later Saxons
Later Irish (Irish Kingdoms list only + Galloglaich limited to one unit)
Dark Age Britain and Ireland

Team Conqueror Army lists:
Norman and Breton
Viking (Some Viking players may be “assigned” as mercenaries to Team England as necessary to balance forces)

Mark is creating some incredible modular terrain for this event, which will feature both a bridge and a large hill .

If you are interested in playing in this, reply with what you might be bringing...

I am planning on at least contributing some forces to this, if not playing in it. I can add about 2800 points (AoA v2) worth of Normans and the same for a Viking or Saxon force (perhaps blasphemous, but I've used the same figs for both army lists). I need to re-do the lists out of AoA v2 to be sure of the exact points.

Here are a couple of pictures of a 4' X 4' panel that Mark did up for a SAGA demo event and as a test bed for the monster 4' X 16' modular terrain board for the Dark-Age Game.

Sweet...
