Is WAB rules closed?

Postby socalwarhammer » Mon Feb 06, 2012 9:22 am

Hey, I am just wondering since Feb 1st has come and gone and it is the usual cut-off for additional rules/books/etc, will be using any future FAQ regarding AoA2, or will we just have it stand as it stands now? Doesn't bother me either way, and although the FAQ is due very shortly, I am not holding my breath on it. :D

If an FAQ is published for AoA, it will be used at Adepticon. I don't think anyone would consider it a fundamental change to the event rules as all of the other WAB errata is in play.

Speaking of AoA armies, players wanting to use AoA need to send me their army lists for pre-approval by 4-1-12. Send to: AdepticonWAB @ gmail.com

I am planning on using a War of the Roses list from AoA2, but I'll wait a bit before submitting since there's some points/stats issues that need to be sorted via FAQ/Errata first.

Just to make sure that any clarifications made by Martin Gibbins on the WAB forums under the AoA2 clarifications will be in effect for the tournament. I assume anything Martin lists as a clarification will considered 'official', right? For those that haven't yet seen them, you can check them out via this link. http://wabforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=120&t=10571

It appears to be an ever expanding thread. Yesterday several clarifications regarding the Late Persian list was added. There will probably be one or two additional entries prior to A-Con, and it is unclear if the FAQ will be finished and released prior to the WAB event. :D

Changes what I was going to do with my EIR list slightly now that there is the barbarian "ally" option in the AoA list now. I'll have to do a quick tweak now that I don't have to use either of the ally armies in the book. Of course I;m not sure if I'm even going to be playing in the wab singles or not.

The change to the WotR Retinue Archers made them cheaper than I thought. Time to recalculate. Adding more models and planning a move might lead to plan B!

(yeah, there's always a plan B, c, d and q for me. too indecisive. :P)
