Battlefleet Gothic-Tiny Tournement?

I saw there were 12 slots left when online registration ended. How many participants does that make. Like 8-10 of us or something?

Yes - there were 20 tickets available to start with. Makes for an 8 player event.

Sadly I think a couple of our prospective players are probably playing Epic which is taking place on the same day because of a scheduling snafu. lets just say that next year we're going to do our best to have the two events happen on different days

That being said, I have a feeling we're going to have a couple day of registrations from the local group as they've probably been fairly lax in registering even though I've been badgering them like crazy.

The scenarios IMO are a fair bit more balanced than last year's scenarios and look to be a rocking good time. Terrain has been reworked as well to make it more functional for actual gameplay (and easier to store )

BFG by the official record has 9 players at the moment. Hopefully you (and Epic) will get a couple of walk-ins. Both fantastic games. Wish there was more interest overall in both.

I'm going to ask the epic guys how many of them would have been willing to play on Sunday because as if you remember back when we were originally working on the schedule, Rich and I were originally putting the Gothic on the Friday with the intent of moving the Epic to Sunday to try to get more Gothic players as Friday seemed to be a better idea due to Gothic needing a less alcohol addled mind to really play well . That fell through when the original Epic TO said he couldn't switch the Epic to sunday. Maybe next year. I'll get feedback from both groups on Friday.

Yeah - I am sure that would have worked better...and sadly the original Epic TO had to bail out after the schedule/webcart had already been up for 3 months.

Yep. I would have stepped up to run the epic on the sunday if needed. We're going to make it simple for next year, I'll talk to both groups and see which days are better for them with the other standard tournament days and we'll plan it friday and I'll most likely run both next year.

Considering that running epic as a tournament is dead simple since the official tournament scenario is in the back of the Epic book it's simple to do a W/L/D with first tiebreaker being objectives obtained.

I would have played in the BFG tournament, if it was still on Sunday. It was a great way to finish out the weekend - much less frantic.

The only reason I can pllay BFG this year is cause it's on friday.

For next year there needs better organization on having BFG & Epic at separate times. I really enjoyed playing in the tournament but I know more people would have played if the times had been different.
I will play next year and look forward to a bigger event.

Noted. We have discussed this a couple of times already. The schedule was set around the original Epic TO's requests. He then had to backout (a good 4+ months after registration opened), so we were sort of stuck with a schedule that was not ideal and would have been next to impossible to change.

We will not have this issue next year.

For next year, I'd just like to throw out there real fast, I sincerely hope that we KEEP the gothic tournement on Friday as the Gladiator tournement holds no interest for me. Gothic on Friday REALLY works out for me.
