While the gaunts can get away with being only 10-sized, I'd think the Gargoyles would need to be bigger to be effective.

Always run your Hive Tyrant with Paroxysm and Leech Essence, the other two powers are pretty worthless.

10 Gargoyles-70
Toxin Sacs

Give these guys adrenal glands, they really pack a punch then.

Tyrannofex-265
Rupture Cannon

I find these guys to be pretty rubbish through playtesting. They really need either twin linked or BS4, but otherwise they just don't cut it for taking out AV14. The better solution is to try to down a Land Raider with CC.

I would take 2 Trygon Primes with Adrenal glands, and that saves you 30 points and gets you 2 more synapse creatures. Because in 2000, 3 Synapse creatures is very low. The gargoyles when they inevitably run forward are going to need synapse to not freeze up and so moving the primes near them will help alot.

To spend the extra points, beef up the gaunt squads to like 13 each or get a few more gargoyles or see if you can't make the third trygon a prime by finding 10 more points.

Primes are great for shutting down HTH psyker powers and the synapse benefit is huge.

I had 135 extra points so I added a prime just for another cc punch. In case I need my tyrant to hit tanks.

I'd have taken out the Warrior prime for another Trygon prime and bump that last trygon to a prime as well, but that's your call.

The Prime was used with the left over 115 (corrected it was not 135) points. I could bump that second trygon to a prime and beef up the stuff, but im fine with the Prime.

I have a question about the venomthropes, are they singular or do they need to be in a unit together?

They are a unit together, and must deploy together. As a single unit, there are many ways to get just a single model within 6" (and therefore the entire unit gets the benefit) for many many units.

I'm not much a fan of Tyranid Primes, but if you do like it, go for it. My suggestion was a triplet of Trygon Primes since they are all synapse and awesome. Just my ideas though. Otherwise, looks pretty solid... it'll take a lot of shots to down some of those big guys in time, especially with Venomthropes walking.
