Basically whatever I bring to the table is the strongest list, but if you brought it, the list wouldn't be as strong. That's a not so subtle way of saying it's the player behind the list and not the list that wins on the tabletop.

That being said you didn't ask at what points level the list should be. For Ard Boyz I have been impressed with this list:

Logan
Rune Priest (Living lightning + random power)
Rune Priest (Living lightning + random power)
Rune Priest (Living lightning + random power)

Elite
Inquisitor + 2 mystics

Troops
10 wolfguard - 3x combi plasma, power fist, 2x terminators with cyclone + power fist
10 wolfguard - 3x combi plasma, power fist, 2x terminators with cyclone + power fist
10 wolfguard - 3x combi plasma, power fist, 2x terminators with cyclone + power fist
rhino
5 wolf guard - 4x combi melta, 1x terminator with cyclone
razorback with TL lascannon
4 wolf guard - 4x combi flamer
razorback with TL lascannon

Heavy
Long fangs - 5x missiles
Long fangs - 5x missiles
Long fangs - 5x lascannon

This list has a craptacular amount of shooting even for 2500pts.

Points matter a lot.

At 20k, I've got 4 daemon lords, 6 bloodthirsters, 2 keepers of secrets, 2 lords of change, 2 great unclean ones, at least 12 daemon princes and more lesser daemons than you could shake a stick at.

I'd say that's a pretty hard list to beat...

IMO; no one list will serve you well in all circumstances. There are too many variables in a game. i.e. points, scenarios, opponents' army, a bad batch of shrooms... etc.

you can always make a superman list from the codex -du jour. or if you gear up for one particular opponent. in general get a well balanced army and learn the nuances of said army so when unusual circumstances arise, you can make a wise tactical choice.

or you can just play Space wolves.

Bah, you want a good list? play Eldar they can do everything. My favorite is a list that has Eldrad and either a second farseer or a phoenix lord. I just got a ton of fire dragons so i am expecting to test out that wave serpant/fire dragons combo and put Fugian in it for effect. I did like Fred's wolves list as they are quite the challenge, but i have already play tested agaisnt 2 blood angel armys and they die like reaping wheat.

I can post a list but i wanted to know whats your point base?

the points I was looking at is between 1850 and 2500.
As far as the 20k points of daemons I am pretty sure i could take uon on with my 2 companies of BA, half company of vet BA, and half company of Scouts, along with the two warhound hound titans and all the special character and have lots of fun doing so. By the way get out here with the space pupps.

Considering the fact that space wolves can make nasty lists, you should re-think your comment about no Space wolves lists... Have you ever heard of TWC lol

I dont have a problem with the space wolves, except for fluff wise, everyone needs to get a sense of humor. I know that space wolves are strong, wish i could get the chance to play against them.

I know what ya mean about the wolves as there really aren't that many hard core wolf players that I know.

Best armies cheese wise is prob any list MEGA minni maxed. Like eldar scatter laser list. "67 str 6 shots comming your way for this unit.... what?"

lol
