2K List and I see one scoring unit... in 2/3rds of game they are going to priority target number one. Add to that they are going to be the ONLY unit in the drop pod means theyare going to come screamming in turn one... and with no help.

Sorry, with Dante the Guard are another scoring unit. Eh, 15 marines in 2K. Protect them well. Even if you combat squad, you'll have 15 marines sitting on 3 objectives.

My thought, get some more bodies. Switch the Vanguard to another assualt squad.

You're right, there is nothing in the entry saying it isn't.

But you might want to check page 90 of the main rulebook.

Vehicles cant take objectives because it has an armor value. Thats why it doesnt bother to put down that it cant take them But good luck trying to get rid of him if your in combat. He is an absolute beast. I rolled up with him against a unit of 6 termys and a chapter master and just devesated them in one round of combat. Hitting on 3s and wounding on 2s is amazing.

For me, the death company are a little had to control. Either they arrive vie deep strike turn 2 ish and assualt the closest thing turn 3 ish... OR your 5 man (depending how your attach your IC's) unit charges up from turn one fleeting as fast as possible to the closest unit.

Consider dropping the packs on them and getting a drop pod. It's safer than deep striking and still gets you where you want to go. You always have the option of starting on the board in DoW, comming on turn turn 1 via drop pod assualt, Or (because your tactical squad pods in) they could come in via reserves turn 2+ to land where you need the extra assualt.

I like how you're not afraid to take the 'big toy' units. Hope you make it work.

Huh. My 1500 point is double the number of marines as your 2000. Funny how builds work that way...

A savvy opponent is going to try to strand your DC, Sang. Guard, and Vanguard with some sacrificial units just so they can shoot 'em up their next turn. I'd consider just using just one of them, and filling the rest with Assault units in Rhinos. But that's just me...

I do like the use of the priests, the vindicator, and the predator, though.
