Was working on my ork list last night. Criteria was

-Best paint jobs
-Most conversions
-Forgeworld bits
-Rouge Trader era models

The resulting list will probably ensure me a fun, but quick games, and lots of time at the bar.)

I will also be in effect with da Boyz. Orks > all.

All the 'ardest boyz will be fixin' to play on Sunday in the Gladiator which means the Grots get to come out to do some stompin' on Friday.

I may not be attending the convention this year but I would like to say that I wish I was because my problem with 40k has been the super competativeness that seems to grow every time I see people playing. I was pretty much fed up with it after last year's 40k championship but this friendly tourney gives me hope! I'll be there in spirit! Best of luck, folks!

We have a discussion about theme and some other interesting things up at

http://dev.adepticon.org/

even if you aren't in the friendly I suggest everyone take a look and see what they think.

I am building the most ridiculous-looking Mek Junka ever conceived for this thing. Having IA units available is really helping to put some nice touches on my theme.

So there I was occupying various administrative buildings, smoking thai sticks, and registering for Adepticon. The dude abides and I signed up for the 40k friendly and it asked me what army I would be playing. I completely forgot what army I submitted and then proceeded to spend 10 months on a bunch of "nihlists" (orks) in a hobby progress challenge for the independent characters podcast. I know this is not 'Nam and there are rules, but does it really matter what army I bring for a "friendly" tournament? I have fielded the question a couple times to the main address and to the OP of this thread hoping to get a definitive ruling before I fly to chicago thursday...
