Everything seems to be selling fast this year. A number of seminars are already sold out - my Hirst seminars have sold 19 out of 20 tickets.

Lots of other stuff showing very strong registration.

Is there a waiting list for the TT now that it's filled up? If so, how does one get on it?

You need to double the entry fee or something. Supply and demand brother, supply and demand.

holy wow. sold out in a day? Didn't it take at least weeks to fill the registration last year? Little bummed I didn't jump right on it, I guess I'll know for next year. I would like to know about a waiting list if any teams drop out. I doubt there would be many, but who knows what'll happen in 5 months?

the team tournament and 40k championships got very popular. the organizers might need to consider a bigger space for those two games next time, even if they have to rent out mccormick place to accomondate everyone.

just think of the likings of a 1,000 team 40k tournament.

To get added to any waitlists - email info@adepticon.org and state which event you would like to be added to.

On adding events and/or ticket to events. It is not possible for a number of reasons...first being space. We simple are already utilizing all of our floor space, terrain and staff to run what we initially ticketed. We actually found a little of all three this year on Friday in order to add The Friendly event, but that was a real logistical challenge. Secondly, certain events cannot handle additional players. The 40K Team tournament is just a massive mob of people and armies. Turning around scores (games and soft) and posting table assignments in a reasonable time has always been a top priority. The 40K Championships is designed to max out at 256 players, otherwise you are looking at 9 rounds. 8 is already too much.

If we had the space, terrain and staff, I'd love to add additional events as opposed to grow anything we are currently running.

The Team event took 4 weeks last year to sell out. The championships a little over 3 weeks.

I don't think anyone saw this coming. My bets were on maybe 2 weeks, but even that I thought would be really fast. AdeptiCon used to not really see any major registration until after the 1st of the year.

I am just glad the webcart held up to the initial bloodbath.

I think the powers that be want to keep the con out of the Chicago Proper. Its the same reason Gencon moved to Indy and not Chicago. If you do an event in the city you have to work with the Teamsters and if you do that you can basically just start doubling the cost of everything.

Are there any facilities which are as good or better than the Westin in Chicago? It would need free parking, drive up access, easy access to stores/restaurants, convenient access to airports (one area that could be improved) with 40,000+ sq ft of ball room space, all for the same price.
