WYSIWYG Extra Armour

We've had a bit of a discussion in our group about extra armour. Does it have to be modelled on the model? it seems I play so many people locally that take it for rhinos and you never even know till they move their next turn and you ask them what they are doing.

While my answer means nothing in terms of rules, I figured I'd throw this in:

When extra armor was worth taking (when it cost 5 points) I never modeled it, but instead what I did was tell my opponent explicitly before the battle that it was there when I provided a copy of my list. Another great Idea is to verbalize the result of the damage chart. For example, if you penetrate and roll a "Crew Stunned" I would say something along the lines of "Ok, and with my Extra Armor, that is reduced to a 'Crew Shaken'."

Just thought it might help. :D
