etched Brass

Ive always wondered HOW the etched brass sheets that forgeword sells are used.
if anybody has put them to use, please tell me what and how you used them

They're cut from the sheet and glued on. They create additional raised detail that you can paint. Some people like to glue them on after painting, but I'm not a fan of that method, although I have seen it done to good effect.

The Khorne symbol on his head and on his shoulderpad are brass etching. In this case, I probably wasted time by painting them brass after priming them, but then the brass colors match better with his armour.

Another reason to at least shape them before painting is because in order to match the curvature of the shoulderpad, you'll need to press the brass and that's going to scratch the paint if you add the brass after painting.

The patch on Wazdakka's gun, and on the back of the rear fender are brass etch.
