Any WIP pictures? Could you stand it next to a regular marine? With the pictures given it doesnt look true scale, but its pretty sweet anyways. Are you going to free hand the Imperial Fist Symbol on the pad?

Just a bit curious as to what makes them "True-Scale"?
Mad Jack Deacon.

If violence wasn't your last resort, you failed to resort to enough of it.

It's 2 (scale) meters tall per the fluff, unlike non-converted SMs which are only about 1.8 meters tall.

It's about 2.2 (scale) meters tall per the fluff, unlike non-converted SMs which are only about 1.8 meters tall (the scale height of unaugmented humans)

The legs are converted running poses, which are the correct scale height. All the height was added to his torso, which is what's out of scale on 90% of SM figs.

Could you do just a flat, straight on shot (ie not from above) so I don't see any distortion?

I cant wait for you to let the peeps at GW...the ones that invented Space Marines know that they have made a big mistake, and have been sculpting them wrong all this time.

From the GW site:

"The Space Marines are the most feared and respected of all of Mankind's warriors. Standing over 7' tall due to genetic modification and absolutely lethal from decades of combat training, Space Marines are the ultimate human fighting machines. "

Nice troll though.

Not trolling...im making a point. Trolling is comming up with something just absurd or completely stupid to get a reaction. Im confronting you. There is a difference.

If you were to convert everything to true scale every vehicle...every figure for every faction would be different...most models are slightly off but to get the game to work you have to have a lil give. Even the "True scale" still would not be "True" due to arm, leg and body thicknes...the measurements you are going off of are a marine free standing and not in Power armor. If you were to look at the true scale of what the model would look like...

Image

Miniature Height

Imperial Guard Guardman = 3cm or 0.03m

Space Marines = 3.3cm or 0.033m

Actual Height

Imperial Guard Guardman = 1.75m (average human height)

Space Marines = 2.5m (in power armour)

If compared the actual human height for a Imperial Guard Guardman to the miniature Imperial Guard Guardman, the scale factor = 58.3.

So, if we were to convert the Space Marine actual height to the miniature Space Marine height, the Space Marine miniature would be at 2.5/58.3 = 0.043m, convert to cm = 4.3cm

Not trying to be an ass...but to be as condescending as you are towards the quality of GW figs...at least get it right.

Looks pretty sweet to me. I have only seen the ones with terminator legs.

Nice work!

I also agree with locking the thread. Or at least an ignore button :)
