woodland creature 2013

Postby BostonNazgul » Mon Jan 07, 2013 1:45 pm

who wants to start a new debate on knights of rivendell and the horse benefiting from the woodland creature rule?

1. The model description clearly references the horses being able to move through wooded terrain.
2. the model is not available to be purchased as infantry
3. the model is listed as (elf, cavalry)
4. woodland creature rule uses the word, "model". since you cant buy a knight on foot, then it is 1 model?
5. the horse is considered wargear and thus simply an accessory to the rider

or do we still say that because a generic horse does not have woodland creature and it is doing the moving then it is null and void?

debate!

The model benefits from woodland creature the horse and rider are the model there for the horse gets to take advantage of the rule.

A light from the shadow shall spring
Renewed shall blade that was broken

And for those who refuse to believe answers simply because someone says its so. Here is a Quote from the Hobbit FAQ

http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_Cus ... DECEMBER12

Forces
Q: Does a mounted model with the Woodland Creature
special rule treat areas of wood to be open ground and do
they still gain the Cavalry bonuses when charging through
a wood? (p83)
A: Yes to both questions.
The only "hobby" GW is interested in is lining their pockets with your money.

You'd think you only had the book for two days or something. :P
