Goblin movement

Postby jlong05 » Thu Jan 19, 2012 8:28 am

OK. I admit to never playing goblins, but have a question on movement. I have always taken the 'cavedweller' rule (and thought it was played this way against me in Vegas as well) that the movement grants regular movement over mountain terrain(basically they are unhindered on the ground- seen to be bounding over the obstacles of rocks seemlessly) and can also climb as if rolling a 6, however while climbing, movement is still halved as they cant climb as fast/free as move on the ground)

Is this correct? Or does the cave dweller rule only allow free jumps of gaps/walls and allow free half movement climbing??

How has this been played in the past for you?

John,

The rules are pretty clear, it allows the climb and jump to be done as if they rolled a 6 on either chart. There is nothing in the rules allowing them to move over mountainus type terrain like Dwarf Rangers get.

It would seem that someone was doing it wrong in Vegas. The rules for Cave Dwellers are in the main rulebook.

Yeah. It was explained in Vegas that the terrain was being 'jumped' but that is in the past. Just making sure I am clear on the rules before playing at GitD.

Thanks for the quick clarification!
