Hey guys, I was just browsing thru the event list and from what I'm seeing, it's March to Mount Doom Madness on Saturday from 6pm to 11pm, 750pts and a 20 model limit.

I was just wondering if this is the only tournament we're getting this year as far as Lord of the Rings is concerned? I know this schedule is tentative, but I was still curious.

Thanks,

-Dave G.

I think that's the only event. The schedule is pretty much fixed now.

It's the only LOTR event that we are running. I am going to be running this along with Tyler.

Sadly, we don't have the player base but more importantly, the volunteer base, to run multiple LotR events. Many of the guys involved in the past are involved in running other events plus there is always the trouble of scheduling for the events you want to PLAY in as well. So many events, so little time.

So, the decision was to run something a bit different from the typical tournament of the past years and Brent's Mt. Doom event has been well received. But if there is enough interest and people willing to take the lead, I'd work to see if we could get a second LotR event on the schedule.

I'm actually looking forward to March to Mt. Doom as I've not played in it before. Plus, I have a Dragon that is ready to see some action.

Everything you guys are saying makes sense. I'm just a little sad that there's no "championship" style tournament, but I completely understand why. I'm definitely looking forward to the March to Mt. Doom Madness event, as I missed it 2 years ago. Now I get to contemplate what I want to bring and set up my winter projects.

Thanks for the clarification. Looking forward to seeing everyone in March!
