I am going at 100% no BS sprint at this time. I have a few days off and I will push to do this like nothing else. I really don't know if I can make it. I will however, really really try to. here are some pictures of my work today.

I hate you AND I'm so stealing this conversion. Nice rust effect. How'd you do it?

I was originally playing around with using blister foam for paint chipping, but that works better on larger models, like tanks or 40k type stuff.

This rust was just adding some red browns, vallejo's beasty, on top of the base coat silver, letting it dry a little on the brush before applying. I guess that is what they make pigments for or dust?. Then highlighted the silver as normal avoiding the rust except for the direct edges. Then a bright red mix was just dotted onto it.

your models have gone to good use!

I am painting like there is no tomorrow. In a few days there won't be. I don't have the spare time to post a lot of pictures but I will when and if I make it. I'm saying its 65-35 that I will make it. I am not sure it I really want to at this point. Lets see how this stuff will all shakes out.

I just finished painting my last guy (Bombur) yesterday. Now it's on to basing and figuring out some kind of display that I can transport to Chicago. I'm excited to get out there and start rolling some dice. (and then drinking a few beers afterwards. :) )

Pictures would be nice. I will miss the opportunity to see such fine examples of painting and modelling skills.

"No, Gandalf, 'tis not. A dark power dwells in there. Such as I have never felt before. It is the shadow of an ancient horror. One that can summon the spirits of the dead. I saw him, Gandalf, from out of the darkness. A Necromancer has come!"
