Looks like the One Rulebook is no longer on the GW website for purchase. Paving the way for the new boxed set.

it still seems so weird to rename the whole game system, just hope it does not nullify old armies, or books.

Renameing would be the easiest thing for them to do. I hope they are lazy.

From The Last Alliance:

GrashnarTheSecond wrote:A FLGS just called me to let me know they got their Hobbit release list in. (I cannot give out a name since I don't know whether or not auntie gee-dub is watching).

Some things he told me are coming:
The Hobbit: Escape from Goblin Town Limited Edition 100€
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Hardback rulebook 65€
Escape from Goblin Town custom figure case
Escape from Goblin Town paint set
The White Council Box 60€
Orc Hunters
Orc Hunters on Wolves 30€
Fimbul The Hunter
Bolg
Goblin Warriors of the Misty Mountains
The Fellowship of the Ring

I asked him to send me the list by e-mail so I can place my order. Will see what I can post without giving out too much info.
No word on when this stuff is released apart from the starter box.

Not exactly GW models, but certainly some interesting possibilities:

I can't wait. I get the name change though. The Lord of the Rings was 10 years ago. They want to sell this to fans of the movies so tieing it into the movie name makes sense. They know we will buy it regardless (probably) and we'll just adjust to calling it by a new name. We did with the switch from Legions to Warbands. Maybe we'll have to do a John Cougar Mellencamp thing and have a "transition name" until we have moved on from Lord of the Rings to The Hobbit.

Figuring out what to call it is the least of my worries with GW.

More from TLA:

I've got to assume that the Great Goblin is part of the Goblin-town box, right? I mean, if it is supposedly comparable to Dark Vengeance, then you'd have some potentially LARGE models (again, comparable to the crazy Chaos construct thing).

Where's this image from? Its consistent with the Great Goblin toy that I've seen on the web.

That is supposedly the concept art. Not only is it consistent with the toy and the LEGO version, but he shows up really briefly in the trailer here:

Yep, I just wasn't sure if you thought that concept art was tied to GW somehow. I do have a feeling that we'll see the Great Goblin as the "big" model in the boxed set.
