My GitD army is officially finsihed. Now I have to pick and pluck foam to pack them.

The gorgûns need to be wary!

So based on the new rules for army building, this tournament will be the only place that I can field all my now fully painted Woses warriors.

I'm thinking of doing something I've never done before and selling some of my painted models. I've got enough to sell 3 full warbands (Ghan Buri Ghan + 12 Woses)

Remember - ANY Wanderer in the Wild hero can lead them!

Well, I don't intend to theme my Woses with Tom Bombadil, Goldberry, or Bilbo Baggins.

I suppose I could theme them with Treebeard orH Gwairhir... but really, am I ever going to need 57

My week of GiTD travels started yesterday as I flew from Chicago to Newark, NJ and on to Dublin, Ireland. It feels like I'm taking the long way to Phoenix :D

If all goes according to plan, I leave Dublin on Thursday morning, arrive in Chicago on Thursday afternoon and then fly to Phoenix on Friday morning. I have the distinct feeling that I won't be completely awake the whole weekend.

If that's the case, Brent, you're welcome to fall asleep next my table if I play Jeremy. Your soothing snores can positively affect my dice any day!

Brent,

Don't sell off that army or even a part of it man, that thing is cool looking. Also something to think about, why do tournaments have to follow the army build construction laid out in the new books? I have been thinking that for GitD 2013 we use the new books, just drop the army build that GW came up with (1 hero to 12 warriors). As long as you bring one Hero you should be able to take anything you want. Only restriction would be if you take a allied force, they would need to have a Hero lead them.

Just saying why do tournaments have to follow the army building rules laid out by GW?

Tim, It's your tournament, so it's your choice, but untimately it comes to game balance and planning. You of course are free to do as you please in your event as the TO, but I am not sure the 'idea is sound of only requiring single heros. We would again see the mass horde games that in my opinion have not been very fun. If we chose to go that direction, I would then recommend a new points format and game time to be like 300pts and only hour and a half rounds to help move things along. 2.5 hours and a draw is just plain boring.

I think Newark is going the wrong direction. unless you mean coming from Ireland that is.
