Announcing: The Successors Big Battle Game-WAB at AC XI 2013

With Rich's Princes' Crusades Big Battle game being such a huge sucess last year, and Mike's planned Dark Age Big game scheduled for the Friday evening slot next year at AC XI, we wanted to expand on that and offer you even more opportunities to participate in a really fun, huge game. So, we will host a Successors Big Battle game using the Warhammer Ancient Battles rules in the Friday morning slot (exact times TBD).

This will be an "all figures provided" event, so no need to distract you from your paint table as you work on your WAB Singles/Doubles tournament armies. We just want you to show up with your dice and tape measure and play! We're thinking of upwards of 12, maybe even 15 players for this event. Preferably we will see players that have at least a little bit of a working knowledge of the WAB rules. However, if you have a buddy that you've been trying to get into WAB, then by all means bring them along and we'll get them rolling dice and show them what a good time gaming with us is all about!

The game will be (roughly) based on the Battle of Ipsus, 301 BC between the forces of Antigonus One-Eyed and the Confederated Allies of Seleucus, Cassander and Lysimachus. We'll have two opposing forces, each consisting of 8400 points (that's almost 17,000 points on the tables!!!) out of the AoA v2 Successor lists. We'll see a total of 10 elephants rampaging across the tables!! Our mission is to make this another "display" game show casing the Ancients side of gaming.

If you're interested, please post a reply to this topic so we can start to get an idea of how we might break down the forces into commands for the event. To secure your spot on field of battle, be sure to look for this event and sign up for it when the web cart opens in late October/early November.
