I would really like to see a size comparison (vs Foundry and GB). If they are tiny like the romans, I want nothing to do with them. If they are not, then game on!

Sorry to say, these figures on the small end of 28mm scale. They match well with Gripping Beast and Immortal, but they will be noticeably smaller next to Gorgon Musketeer or Aventine.

Hmm... They don't look that much smaller (although the fig gets a boost form the base), I take it the other two (metal) are Aventine and Gorgon? ...and he has a very thick pike too (sorry...)...

Gripping Beast Phalangite on the left and Gorgon Hoplite on the right. The photo might not be doing a good job of illustrating the differences, but the WLG figure is very thin in the body. They would mix well with Immortal/GB in an army - but would look like midgets compared to the larger Gorgon type figures.

After nearly throwing out my back with my all metal HC Arab army, I'm very motivated to use these new plastics for my next project.

There is new Roman project underway - maybe they will be sized for the larger end of the market.

Thanks Rich... That's too bad, at least for me, I would really like to stick with the larger scale so I can still use my hoplite units. I am really thinking Aventine, the price and quality are pretty good... I agree on the weight of metal, my Berbers will have their own gravity well and bend light due to their mass. I will be using a utility cart at Adepticon

Mike,
Hopefully you wont have to get a plane. I wonder how much more they would charge you? LOL
