Only 62 days until Adepticon...

In the grim darkness of the past?

Only 62 days until Adepticon...

And my army isn't here yet for me to even start on!!

I registered Dark Ages and all, but it might be that I have to change that, possibly to Open, but maybe to Classical. I'm good to go either for for Doubles still though, if nothing else I have the early Saxons I brought last year.

Wonder what the hold up on the minis is? did you go through Northstar?
AoArt Saxons would be fun and fit-

I lucked out with GB/Musketeer getting stuff out so quickly- they shipped me the new Barded horses that Bill did before they were even posted on the website-

Yeah, I went through Northstar. Sending out an email tomorrow, haven't even heard from them since before the order was processed. Never had a problem before though, so probably just some postal service or other taking their sweet time.

Word is homeland security is grabbing some and holding up international packages up to two weeks longer than normal- so hope that isn't it...

Ahh, didn't know that. Although it would be preferable to my fear of our local postman having lost it, which it seems happened to a package my wife had ordered.

Email Nick Eyre (great mini-painter btw) and I bet he can get you a tracking number.

If you need some units to fill in, let me know- I have some painted Crusader Vikings and Saxons that could fill some ranks as needed!

I got a response today, they didn't even ship my order until 12 Jan, and feedback from their other customers has ship times at over a month. Time to decide on plan B, methinks.

Well, Plan B is officially in motion, going to do a War of the Roses army. I already had some stuff, could afford to get the rest and it's an army I actually want to own when I'm done. Hopefully being in Open category now causes no problems.
If by some chance the vikings arrive in the next few days I'll jump on them, but I'm not going to hold my breath. Better to get busy than try and rush as it gets closer and closer. I'll run my Early Saxons in Doubles, just so I can be themed for at least one event.

I've started painting, should have a batch done today/tomorrow. Got some comments over on the WABforum so my paint scheme is good to go, as luck would have it all three of the main nobles I'm using had the same heraldry colors, so that will help speed things up. It's still far enough that I can switch back o the Vikings if they get here, but it's nice to be working on something at least.

Reminds me of Richard Dreyfus' Character in Weeds- the postman with the extra room full of packages he brings home...

What nobles are you doing? The Perry's have a real nice set- I was just starting to get into their HYW line....

Doing(roughly) Yorkists at Tewkesbury, so Edward the IV, Hastings, and Gloucester.

And I'd love to get a Perry HYW army done. Those are excellent models. Maybe work on those after I sort a few other ideas.

Well Matt- whatever you bring, I can't wait to see them!
I am interested in early HYW- as well as Achaea and the Crusader States.

Oh, and for Dark Ages- Aryan Goths of course....

The Vikings have arrived! Well...most of them. Missing some command from the army deal and the 6 extra packs I added on, but I have some of the stuff now. Time to send out another email, maybe they sent it in two shipments.
