Photo gallery from Adepticon 2008

Postby GreginChicagoland » Sat Apr 12, 2008 8:34 am

A small selection of shots I took last night of the 40k Radio guys, Phil Kelly from Games Workshop and of course the pink Necrons. It was a blast, and there's gonna be a ton more pics from better folks. Just thought you might like to see some early action. Here's a link to the Flickr page:

Special thanks to the 40K Radio guys for doing an interview as well. You'll be able to see it on and Youtube in short order.

Some of the interviews done are up on youtube and the blog as well. Here's a quick link to one:

More are coming, as well as the interview with 40k Radio which will be in a few parts.

Thanks to all those who gave a few minutes of their time to make this happen!

Not 100% sure just yet. As soon as I get a CD or USB Stick from Dan I will get them up in the Gallery.

Speaking as one of the RD judges, Bennett is a very good painter and his 'Best in Show' model was a very cool Slaaneshi Demon Princess. Hopefully someone will have pictures soon. Between Bennett and the Wapples, there are always some great pieces in the Rogue Demon.

I think the overall quality was slightly down from last year, but not by much.

Bennett is an amazing painter. His conversions are also really well done. There was a pic of a few of his converted Beast army in a WD last summer, and they were sweet... and not the same Beasts army he had at Adepticon either!

Bennet deserves every accolade he gets. I don't know a single person in any field who puts as much time, energy, and thought into their art. Seriously...the guy paints at LEAST 10 to 12 hours a day, seven days a week.

The scary thing is, the stuff Bennet has done since Adepticon make his Rogue Demon models look like garbage. He brought something down to the shop the other day that is, without question, the best looking 28mm model I've seen painted by anyone in the industry.

Watch the Baltimore Golden Demon coverage this year. I suspect Bennet will be adding something pointy to his trophy case. :)

Overall photo gallery from the staff photographers is going to wait on the release of the Retro, which should be in the next two weeks.
