A couple of modeling questions

Postby shrub34 » Fri Feb 25, 2011 6:21 am

I have couple of modeling questions, since I'm just getting started in Epic.

1. I'm starting with space marines, I have modeled my tactical squads to more resemble 40K tactical squads. So of my 6 stands: 3 have 4 SM with bolters and 1 with missile launcher, and 3 just have 5 SM with bolters. Is this acceptable since each stand gets a missile launcher shot?

2. I have yet to play, so I'm wondering how many blast markers should I make? Anyone have a rule of thumb other that isn't build for worst case (number of units being fielded, or for SM double number of units being fielded)?

Thanks.

The squad setup is fine, and is not an uncommon way to go about it.

As for blast markers, 25 or so should see you through most 3k games with plenty to spare.

If you want, go to hobby lobby and a bag of beads for $3.

Yeah, forgot to mention that. Most of us use the round plastic craft beads, such as you can get at Hobby Lobby, Micheal's, etc, for dirt cheap. However, if you want to model blast markers, more power to you! It's something I've been meaning to do for a while now.
