GHQ Terrain Maker - Anyone use it?

Postby Spectrar Ghost » Thu Feb 25, 2010 6:29 pm

Just taking a btowse through GHQ's site as TacComs is inexplicably down (This Account Has Been Suspended?? WTF is that?) and came across the micro skirmish board. (http://www.ghqmodels.com/store/tm5.html) 6 of these (2 sets, $110) would make a 4'x8' table.

Has anyone used this system? Is it any better than insulation foam in terns of ease of building/durability/flexibility? In short, were I to find enough cash to buy these (and not use it for minis) would it be worth it?

Maybe I can pass it off as a 'Home Accent' to the wife.

"My that's a lovely wall hanging."
"Yes, it's fields are soaked in the blood, both martyr and heretic."
"..."

On second thought... no.

Nat, don't. Just don't. It's made with old fashioned styrofoam and makes a big mess. The hexes are also like four or five inches across. You'll go nuts working with the stuff.
