Looking for a game

Postby Spectrar Ghost » Mon Jan 25, 2010 8:15 am

Anyone up for a game sometime this week? My schedule's pretty open after 4ish each day. Looking at 3-4k.

maybe wednsday. that being said, the exodus wars stuff is getting back in stock again. The club should get its order planned soon.

Have you taken a look at the MkII Enforcers Otterman is doing? Those things are freakin' crazy!

The twin gatling turret is the best... p6 I think.

What time Wednesday?

Upon discussion with the opposite half, Wed. would be better, though I may not arrive until about 4:15 or so. I'll be bringing my Seigemasters, would you prefer 3k or 4k?

Chad - I'm still trying to get those Jetbikes to you for Jim. When are you available to pick them up?

Greetings all,

I'm a returning gamer after a long hiatus getting back into the swing of things, particularly EPIC. I've been following you're posts for some months now and am impressed with the dedication you guys have shown with this finest of GW's systems.
I know you meet for a fairly regular Thu. night gathering. My question is do you folks play much on the weekends, as this is when I'm most able to get some time to play games. The 3-4 times I've been to the bunker I've not seen much going on EPIC wise. Sorry I missed the most recent tournament, I was hoping to make it out for it. Either way, looking forward from hearing from some of you and reigniting my hobby/addiction with my really little men.

P.S. Didn't mean to hijack this thread, just recognized some of the names as movers and shakers and wanted some qualified advice. Thanks

Weekends are tough in terms of getting any significant number of people at once, but if you know when you'll be there, it's often possible to get a game scheduled. I, in particular, seem to have more free time on my hands than usual.

There seems to be some correlation between this and being out of work, but I'm still trying to determine whether there is a causal link there... :P

What army[s] are you playing?

I have about 4500 pts. of painted IG (no titans or WE) I picked up a few months ago. Also have some older unpainted titanicus and space marine stuff around. Although I've played some of the older versions along with warhammer and 40k, I fell out of the hobby a while before armageddon was released. The last 6 months I've been playing 40k and fantasy again with my brother and found this forum and taccom, etc. It was good to see groups of players still doing a much evolved epic thing. So I grabbed some guard and am ordering some additional unpainted stuff from what seems to be a dwindling stockpile...
Either way I'm eager to play with some more experienced players and get the "new" rules down pat; unfortunately, between work and family obligations I mostly play local, which means no epic for me. I'll remember to post up here for a game when I get some free time locked.

Chuck hangs out at the Oak Park GW. He can probably be found doing absurdly good conversions and scratchbuilds on his 40k Orks in a tan hat and vest. He played Epic when he still frequented the Bunker, probably still does. Tell him I said "Hi".

I'll be out to say hi on Wed, 4:30ish. I'll also bring some orks if someone wants to play.

Nat. I'm cancelling most likely. Altoids and my stomach don't agree. I had about half a tin over the course of 3.5 hours last night and I've had a lot of gas and a stomach ache since then. If it clears up by about 2pm I might still come out but I'm not going to play.

No problemo. Hope you feel better.

Bon_Vivant - you gonna be schooled by the Thin Grey Line! You got 4k? I'll bring a 3k list as well.
