They look good. Scale is close enough. I dont know if it would be better to go all GHQ or a mix. I would like to see them in person to get a better idea. Paint is very good. I like very much. Definatly want to se more.

I like the look of the "modern" tanks with the IG stuff. You may want to base them all so that the scale seems correct. Plus with bases you can add all sorts of terrain-like flourishes which mask the difference in scale.

Yeah. I've started basing all my Epic vehicles on Flames of War bases. I use Small ones for regular tanks (Russ Size and below), Medium bases for things like Land Raiders and large ones for Superheavies. I'm going to be doing a bit of that type of work today on more of my guard and some of my chaos metals (those that I got my hands on completely painted0.

it did. I got to the hospital at about 8:20am and was home before 4pm. I'm still in the staying home and resting phase. That being said chad, we should chat at some point.

Hey guys, crazy question here. What would you guys think of using WW2 half tracks of some sort to represent Land Transporters for Lost and the Damned? I don't think there's an official Land Transporter model from GW is there?

That is a good idea. I use the old plastic ork warwagons, the ones with the skull faces, but I think that the halftracks are a better way to go. Let me know which ones you had in mind.

I briefly talked with chad a couple hours ago and I'm going to be going with a mix of US and German halftracks. M3s for the US ones, I can't remember which one he recommended for the Germans.

The German halftracks are 251's.

This is a cool idea. The mix of types will really bring home the feel of LatD well.

Are you looking at the 251/C or 251/D?

not sure yet. It's funny, one of the guys on Tac Coms (Legion 4 I think) put a post in the thread I put there that the GHQ halftracks were too small in his opinion. I'll have to look myself when I get a chance to get to G+.

I would agree that the halftracks would be too small. You may want to try some BMPs or M113s. These may also be too small to represent transports.

Just on the GHQ site. The BTR BMD M1979 used by the russians in Afganastan may work. Part number W39

You could also go totally different try the Israli Merkava part #IS6. THis may give abit more "beef" to the peice while keeping the feel of the original GW peice.

Just some thoughts.
