Discussion concerning the latest version of the Epic 40K game system.

Ok Fetchit, get me me bolta!

Well, I hope everyone had a great Turkey day, but now its time to get serious. This coming Thursday, Dec 3, we are going to have a great turnout for Epic Thursday. We could very well have 14 people show up with a handful of players new to the game. I will be bringing out the club's terrain and hopefully Matt will make it out with some of his terrain for the game he will play. We also will have access to the annex where all the flat tables are at which will be more epic friendly. All in all, it is going to be an awesome night with lots of epic. Everyone is invited whether you play epic or not. It's a great game and Thursday will give you an idea what it's all about with plenty of players who you can ask questions about the game. Come on out and experience the 40k universe in its entirety.

I am planning to come out, with my long mothballed epic orkseses.

I have been reading the book and checking out online lists, but I am a little stymied by the army list. It's almost as if there are too many choices, so without having played the newest version of the game, I am a little at sea about unit sizes and composition.

I am going to post my available models list; any help anyone might like to give me would be appreciated. I am most excited about the gunwagons, stompas, and battlefortress models, so would like to use a vehicle heavy force.

I understand there might be a little confusion over the ork list as well as a little training needed for the game. I will have the boyz available and some advice on list building.

I have been an loyal ork player for years. The current list is actually very good once someone makes heads and tails of the list for you. You can take a look at my army for some ideas. I agree about having lots of vehicles in the army. The foot slogging army of 40k gets whiped out in Epic. Warbands are important units to have- a big warband with transport and two flakwagons, a unit I take in every game, comes to 30 models and is a unit that is fast, big, and deadly. I have four of those units. I have also found 'uge blitz brigades with 12 dethcoptas extremely useful. There's more we will talk about tomorrow.

Leaving work in a few - I am bringing up a ton of old Epic stuff if anyone is looking for anything - will sell cheap.

I got a bunch (like 4 or 5 smnall armies worth) of painted stuff (not in the best of shape) and some stuff on the sprue. Marines, Chaos, Eldar and Orks mostly. If you know anyone that wants to pick up a cheap starter army - let me know.
