Postby Shaggrudd Dethblasta » Sun Oct 11, 2009 8:50 am

I am happy to annouce that the Specialist Games Club out of the Chicagoland Battle Bunker will be hosting a Epic tournament some time in January 2010. Points will be 3000 and there will be three rounds. When I have more details, I will post a more official announcement. Tentative entry fee will be $5 that will be only for prize support depending on enrollment.

As long as I don't have any conflicts in my schedule I plan on being there for this. Would love to have 3000 points of Black Legion for this, but that might be a tall order...Blood Angels will be there for sure.

What do you need to use for the black legion? I've got some Tzeentch and Slannesh stuff painted up. I also just got a large chaos army that is unpainted from a guy up in Michigan which I am willing to sell parts of (I bought the army mainly to get my hands on that Banelord that Matt Sabol sold last year at Adepticon)

I am mainly looking for the oddball stuff at this point - War Engines, Doomwheels, Decimators anything along those lines. I am good on the typical stuff - infantry, cult marines, vehicles.

I saw a link for a guy's website where he casts some minis that would work great as doomwheels. I'll see if I can find the site as I'd love to order a few myself.

Oh yeah - that would be great - I found a good article online about scratch building them - but it, along with scratch-built defilers look like a pain.

Sadly what I used for the base for my scratch build defilers (old metal scarabs) are going to be a massive pain in the ass to find now. I used the old metal scarabs and the top half of the old SM/TL era chaos dreadnoughts. I can show them to you at some point.

So Matthias, you want to share the shipping cost on an order from this guy? I'd probably be looking to get 3 each of the doomwheel analog and 3 of the decimator analog.

Yeah sure - I'd be up for 3 of each too I think. Maybe pick up that Rogal Dorn tank too...I'll shoot him an email tomorrow.
