So How many still play this game?

I know I still have my fleets. Eldar, Tau, Space Marine and Imperial. I haven't played in a while but I love the game. I love the tactics and I love the miniatures. I would love to see a BFG 40K Apocalypse game played out together. Or at least find a battle report on how to organize one and have it interact directly. I've read so many books in 40K where battles on the ground and in space interact but haven't seen it done much in recent gaming.

We just had a game at the Bunker tonight, actually. 2v2 game familiarizing one new and one lapsed player with the rules. I wouldn't be too surprised to find we will be playing BFG next Thursday, either. Never tried linking Apoc with BFG (or the more logical Epic/BFG or Planetstrike/BFG matchups, either) though the easiest way would be to play a Planetary Assault scenario in BFG, and for each transport point landed deep strike x points of models onto the battlefield. Play a turn of BFG, the a turn of Epic/Apoc/Planetstrike, and repeat.

Yeah, Nat is right. We had a great time last night. Pat has played BFG before in the past, but Tom was totally new to the game. They used my Chaos fleet and I used by buddy's Necrons while Nat had Adeptus Mechanicus. I totally pulled my punches with the Necrons and in every opportunity gave Tom advice on what to do in different situations. Everyone had fun and we had to pack up at closing time. There are actually a lot of players out there, and inquiring about it on AWC is the best thing that you could have done to find players. We will do BFG next week, so bring out some ships and have some fun with us!

Oh man If I had known I would have tired to make it in!
I've been dying to get my Tau some action or to dust off my Eldar and play again. Work has taken me out of the loop of gaming for a couple years, but I keep track of the trends and events. I've been itching for some game-time. When do you guys normally play?

Thursday evenings. I'm usually around the Bunker at 3pm or so, others arrive at 4-5pm.

Oh bummer, I don't get home from work till 7pm. Which means I wouldn't get to the bunker till 8pm. Well if you guys ever get a game going for the weekend, let me know.

Feel free to ask for a game if you know you'll have the time. If you set it up in advance it's likely someone will be able to come. I may be free next Sunday, for instance.

What Tau list do you use. The FW one or the Official one out of Armada. THe Armada list can be brutal. Heavy ordanace in it is off the hook. Makes my Imp ordanance list look like a piker.

In case you're interested. BTW I'm upset with you for selling your 'crons to Jim. You know he rolls too well to play 'crons!

With a hot roller they are hard as nails. They can be beaten though, trust me. Although if they get behind you it all over except the crying. Bring those annoying nids and watch Jim cry. BTW i sold the Necrons to Chad, what he did after i handed them over is no longer my responsability. :D

That's right. It's important to lay blame at the right door. Wait, isn't it Chad's fault Jim has Necrons in Epic too? :x

:D

Yes lets blame Chad for all the necrons popping up all over the place. In my experience its generally always Chads fault for something. :D

I have actually been using the FW from Armada. I had them painted by Painter Sarah, because I wanted a paint-job that was just as cool as the mini's themselves.
