Mauler attacks

Postby Nightspawn » Mon Jul 07, 2014 12:27 am

I was asked this question and thought I would turn it over to you guys.

If a Maulerfiend has 2 Magna Cutters, does this give it 2 extra attacks in h-t-h with it's regular attacks then 2 more later at I1? Or just 2 more attacks(if he hit with the first attacks) at I1?

It is not listed if they are considered CCW but they are used in h-t-h.

They are not CCW. You get no extra attacks for having magna cutters, but you do get an extra attack for having two powerfists. If one of you attacks hits with the Maulerfiend, then the cutters give you one auto hit at str 8 with the melta rule. If all your attacks hit you get two auto hits at str 8 with the melta rule.

I always like the magma cutters. Many seem to prefer the Lasher Tendrils though. Do they really provide more benefit than the auto-melta hit(s)? if it survived the Dsword at I4, I think a Knight could be in some trouble at I3 and then I1.
