Stomp Attacks from Super Heavy Walkers and Gargantuans

Do Stomp attacks replace the regular attacks of a SuperHeavy Walker or Gargantuan Creature? Or are they in addition to regular attacks? It doesn't say they replace them, but it says the SHW/GC can make a special kind of attack called Stomp Attacks.

I could see something swinging around a giant fist or sword, whiffing, then getting angry and stomping around on stuff :)

Is 'Stomp' an Escalation thing? I am getting it mixed up with WHFB.

Ah, yes, it was first an Apocalypse, now Escalation, and as soon as the Knights come out for 40k, a general rule.

I was told that the Superheavy Walkers/Gargantuan Creatures do make regular attacks, and in addition do Stomp attacks at Initiative 1. They're quite effective against infantry, and can be super nasty if you roll a 6 against anything (removes models from the table on 6s). A set of D3 small blasts 'placed' pretty much where you want them.

Very similar to some of the units in WHFB, interesting.
