Firing Heavy Weapons

Postby Lord Krungharr » Sat Dec 29, 2012 9:21 pm

The heavy weapons rules say the if a model armed with a heavy weapon moves he can only snap fire, but does this mean if his unit moves he counts as moving even if the heavy weapon guy himself remains still? For some reason I thought that was the case, but is the rule still if anyone in the unit moves everyone in the unit counts as moving? Where is that rule, or pertinent rules? We couldn't find it today, but we were very rushed.

pp13 " Under Moving and Shooting; "the most important thing to remember is that the effect movement has on shooting is applied on a model by model basis."

sounds like if a model with heavy weapon stands still while his buddies move, he can use his normal BS.

Ah ha! That's what I was thinking of. Thanks very much, that makes those single heavy weapons in normal Troops much more useful.

Remember though, you must declare that he is not moving, otherwise he does count as it.
"Serious sport has nothing to do with fair play. It is bound up with hatred, jealously, boastfulness, disregard of all rules and sadistic pleasure in witnessing violence. In other words, it is war, minus the shooting." - George Orwell
