The BRB, BT, BA, DA, DE, SW, and SM books all got some updates. Check 'em out!

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/conte ... ue&start=2

Here are the major updates as I see them:

BRB
- Clarified Independent Characters joining units in reserve.
- Units arriving via deep striking transports also count as deep striking, and thus can't assault (der)

Black Templars
- You don't test for Righteous Zeal when you've gone to ground.
- Cyclone Missile Launcher is now Heavy 2 (like SM).
- Narthecium's give Feel No Pain (like SM).
- Signum now confers BS 5 on one model in the unit (like SM).
- Storm Shield now is 3+ inv save (like SM).
- Power of the Machine Spirit is the same as SM.
- Smoke Launchers are BRB standard, so 4+ cover now.
- Typhoon missile launchers are same as SM.
- Drop pod BS is 4 now.

Blood Angels
- Made any special rules in line with SM book.

Dark Angels
- Cyclone Missile Launcher is now Heavy 2 (like SM).
- Narthecium's give Feel No Pain (like SM).
- Signum now confers BS 5 on one model in the unit (like SM).
- Storm Shield now is 3+ inv save (like SM).
- Power of the Machine Spirit is the same as SM.
- Smoke Launchers are BRB standard, so 4+ cover now.
- Typhoon missile launchers are same as SM.
- Drop pod BS is 4 now.

Dark Eldar
- I dunno what needed answering, but there are plenty in there, most about Pain Tokens.

Space Wolves (6 pages!!!)
- Made any special rules in line with SM book.

Space Marines (these apply to all SM books too)
- When you regroup, you get the 3" consolidate move in addition to a normal move (INAT overruled).
- Drop pods that scatter off the board roll for mishap (der).
- Techmarines can repair vehicles from inside if it's a transport (neat).
- Land Raiders using smoke launchers cannot use Power of the Machine Spirit to still fire a weapon.
- When using Calgar's God of War to pass a Morale Check, they do not become Fearless.

Not to be a nitpick, but for Calgar's "God of War" ability, the BRB states that for taking the morale check for losing a CC "Any unit which automatically passes this leadership check, such as fearless units, is subject to No Retreat! wounds."

I take this as if you auto-pass regardless of it you are fearless, you still take No Retreat!

The problem is, I do too. That question actually answered absolutely nothing, as it only refers to his unit (not any others that might use his ability) and only says it doesn't make them Fearless. It would've been far better and easier to say "Any unit using Calgar's God of War does not count as 'automatically passing a morale test.'"

Oh well.

The Dark Angels Typhoons now have the same weapon stats as vanilla marines, but correct me if I am wrong the DA Typhoon is 15pts cheaper right.

"Units arriving via deep striking transports also count as deep striking"

This means if the Pod scatters into the trees there will be a lot of dangereous terrain checks to be made by the occupants when they spill out. They are considered deep striking also and just deep struck into difficult terrain. Right?

Fred,

I think it means for movement purposes, but alas that does seem to be correct for the moment.
